Laithe-house, c.1820. Watershot masonry, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Quoins.
Barn and 2-cell house occupy equal portions. Central porch with coped gable
and kneelers, doorway with tie-stone jambs. To left semi-circular arched cart
entry and mistal doorway with tie-stone jambs. 2 bays of flat faced mullioned
windows. 6 lights with same over; 4-light with 6-light window over. Doorway to
right with tie-stone jambs. Coped gables with kneelers. Single stack to ridge.
Rear has 5-light and 7-light windows to ground floor only and cart entry with
monolithic lintel. Partly sunk into ground is cellar with giant stone slate
roof. On the furthest edge of cultivation before moorland begins.
