Parish Church. C14 tower; remainder of church rebuilt in 1820.
Coursed and squared rubble with ashlar dressings; slate roofs. Single
bay Chancel and 2 bay nave in one; south porch; West tower. Chancel
and Nave: shallow plinth and moulded eaves cornice; pointed windows
with Y-tracery; rusticated quoins. Gabled South porch with moulded
cornice to sides; 4 centred doorway with hollow chamfer. West tower:
Early C14, massive sandstone quoins; West window with Y-tracery; offset
and gargoyles at belfry stage; belfry lights with Y-tracery; parapet
band with gargoyles and plain drainage spouts; crenellated parapet with
corner finials. Interior: No structural division between nave and
chancel; pointed tower arch; King post roof with braces to tie beam
springing from stone corbels. Fittings: Early C19 pulpit and balustraded
alter rail; ladder in West tower of split logs pegged together and of
indeterminate date. Bell cage of massive oak timbers.
