BILLINGE-WITH-WINSTANLEY CRANK ROAD SD 50 SW (south-east side) 8/36 Barn south-west - of Crow's Nest G.V. II Barn. Datestone reads: "WDR/LD/1700". Dresssed stone with slate roof. 5-bay barn with gabled wing to south east with outshut under cat-slide roof to its left, and cow house under cat-slide roof to north west. Barn has blocked entrances and ventilation slots. Garage entrance and C20 windows to north east,with date stone and pitching eye over. Wing has external steps to 1st floor, possibly "paddy room" for itinerant Irish labourers. Interior has collar and tie beam trusses, posts between barn and cow house, which retains its stone partitions. Daub and wattle partition between barn and wing at 1st floor level.
