Wayside Cottages

GV II

Two attached Cottages. c.C18. No 1: Dressed stone walls, large blocks.
Thatch roof, hipped at left hand. Combined brick stacks at right hand
gable, Cl9. 2 low storeys. 2 windows, ground floor has a 3-light
fixed window with lead lights. Stone arch-voussoirs over. 2-light
casements window upstairs, one iron casement leaded. Front door, at
left hand, plank with strap-hinges and one wooden lintel over, C19.
No 2: Rubble-stone walls. Roman-tile roof with gable end. 2 storeys.
2 windows, 3-light Wooden casements with horizontal glazing-bars, old
hinges. Wooden lintels and cills. Front door, approximately at centre,
plank with a wooden lintel over, C19.
