Barn and stable. Early to mid C18. Squared coursed ironstone. Steeply pitched
corrugated asbestos and corrugated-iron roof. Brick end stack. Stone-coped
gables. 5 bays. Stable on right with step ladder to former living accommodation
over. Plank door to stable on right has wood lintel. 2-light wood mullioned
window to left with shutters. Barn porch on left has midstrey. 5-bay trenched
purlin roof with collar beams, tie beams and common rafters. Stable has 2 stalls
and rear feeding racks and troughs. Said to have been used as a hide-out by the
Culworth Robbers of local legend.
