House, with storage building and gateway. Formerly dated 1686; additions and
alterations c.1805; incorporates earlier fabric in adjoining building and gateway.
Thinly-rendered sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins; roof pantiled,
with Welsh slate at eaves and at east end, with brick chimneys on house, rendered,
and brick chimneys on adjacent building; stone gable copings. Double-pile house
2 storeys, 4 bays, the right gabled, and low one-storey, one-bay pent right
extension; one-storey, 3-bay building at left; gateway at extreme left.

House has blocked door in third bay in bolection-moulded architrave under
floating cornice; datestone removed; scrolled pediments over sash windows,
those on ground floor of late C19 type in raised stone surrounds, those on first
floor in first 3 bays with glazing bars; plain sash in gabled right bay, and
smaller square window at right in gable peak. One-storey building at left has
blocked door in right end with large irregular-block jambs; blocked windows in
other bays separated by coped buttress with one offset. White brick chimneys on
house; massive rendered stack between first and second bays of left building
has offsets on brick copings; truncated left end chimney. Main house left
return has Gothic treatment with Y-traceried window at left under gable string
and parapet; small round opening in square stone surround at right in gable peak.
Gateway at extreme left has high parapet over 4-centred arch flanked by
buttresses; chamfered stone coping.

Interior: house has deeply-moulded stucco cornice in rear left room on first
floor. Storage building has pigeon nest boxes of stone flags on brick supports
in gable and rear wall of loft.
