Penton Lodge.

Lodge dwelling. c1830. Painted brick and render, with a low-pitched hipped
slate roof. Single-storeyed symmetrical front (south-east) of 1.1.1 windows,
with a gabled projecting centre. Simple eaves moulding, painted brickwork
(lower part rendered) with rubbed flat arches, plinth. Sashes in reveals, of
3 lights to the centre. The entrance is on the south side of the centre, and
is now surrounded by a C20 glazed porch, with a slate roof. The central
chimney stack of yellow brickwork has 3 separated flues, linked by a head with
a moulded top, and a plain base. The symmetrical treatment is applied to the
other elevations, and an outshot extends along the rear (north-west) side.
