- 7 metres south-east of porch
of St Olaf

Pair of chest tombs. Circa late C17/early C18, early mid and late C18 slate
memorials fixed to sides of tombs probably post-date chests. Freestone ashlar and
slate. Rectangular chests on moulded plinths have slate lids and rectangular
slate memorials fixed to sides. Inscriptions on slate lids illegible.
Westernmost chest has slate memorials fixed to north and south sides commemorating
members of the Stanbury family. Memorial on north side commemorates "Mrs
Stanbury's children by Charles Rowland", Susanna and Humphry, died 1725.
Sentimental early C18 verse includes "In heaven where infants hail the almighty
King/There little Humphry and Susannah sing". Decorative border below
inscription. Fixed to the south side is a memorial commemorating John Stanbury,
buried 1757. Slate has classical architectural border carved in relief and
armorial bearing. The chest tomb to the east has a rectangular slate memorial
fixed to the north side commemorating John and William Dayman died 1740 and 1736.
On the south side of the chest is a slate commemorating John Dayman, died 1793,
inscription with verse.
