Eastern Kitchen Garden.

GV II


Kitchen garden wall. C18 and C19. Red English garden wall bond brick
with stone dressings. c.lO-11 feet high forming two walls of an
approximately rectangular enclosure. East wall, early C18 brickwork
joining at its southern end with the west wall of the Tenants Hall
(not included). North wall of mid C18 and C19 brickwork with stone
cappings. The Eastern half contemporary with the Stable block to the
North of it: (ancillary stable buildings not included abut on the
north face) western end of mid C19 with additions and alterations
where buildings have adjoined on the Southern face; North face has 3/4
height buttresses with stone cappings.
