Farmhouse, now in 2 occupations, and of 2 builds. Right section late C17 - early
C18 (RCHM), altered. Left section C19 (RCHM) - but may be of earlier origin.
Right section has rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, one brick stack in centre
and one at right end. One storey and attic. Ground floor has 3 C20 casements with
glazing bars. Attic has 2 C20 dormers with similar casements. Left section has
rubble stone walls, partly with ironstone banding, slate roof. Brick end stacks,
and one right of door. Stack arrangement suggests 3-room and cross-passage plan.
One storey and attic. Ledged door in gabled porch. Ground floor has 3 casements
with glazing bars. Attic has 4 half-dormers with similar casements. Stone
mullioned window in left gable wall. (RCHM, Monument 157. Dorset. Vol. II).
