Railway tunnel entrance arch. 1832-3 by T.E. Harrison, with R. Stephenson as
consultant engineer, for Stanhope and Tyne Railroad Company. Sandstone rubble,
rendered in places. High retaining wall contains segmental arch with voussoirs.
Some facing stones missing at time of survey.
