House. Early-to mid C19. Handmade brick in irregular bond with sandstone
plinth, cornice, and blocking course. Slate roof, hipped at right. 2
storeys. 5 bays spaced unequally. Windows are casements with margin
lights and have brick hoods. Door, of 6 sunken panels, has timber
doorcase which is recessed within brick reveals. It has engaged fluted
Doric columns, and a segmental fanlight above a plain cornice with
mutules. Chimneys at left and right and between 1st and 2nd bays, all in
front of ridge. Interior: stair has open string, stick balusters, and
wreathed handrail. Some of the interior doors are of mahogany. The rooms
to left and right of the hall both have fireplaces with Grecian
detailing.
