Formerly Gamekeeper's cottage now farmhouse, 1670 (carved on door
head) with late C19 alterations. Brick nogged timber frame and
brickwork with slate roof. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Half-glazed
C19 door, in heavy chamfered frame, with external architraves and
narrow overlight. The oak beam above the entrance is ogee moulded and
has the initials L AE and the date. The entrance is fronted by a
softwood timber framed and brick nogged gabled porch with barge
boards. 4-light casements, ground floor with wood lintels and two
course terracotta sills and with rounded heads at first floor. Stone
plinth-cornice with brickwork below and brickwork in English garden
wall bond to first floor level. Timbers in small framing with angle
braces to first floor facade and one gable. Attic dormer positioned
over front entrance. Square central stack with recessed panels. A
rear wing (north) completes a "T" shaped plan.
Interior: Small chamfered beams and cased beams. C19 4-panel doors.
