STANHOPE FRONT STREET NZ 0236 (south side,off) Frosterley 40/198 Gate piers to north-east of Church of St. Michael and All Angels GV II
Gate piers. Circa 1869, probably by G E Street. Sandstone ashlar. 2 square piers, with stop-chamfered corners and shallow coped buttresses, have chamfered coping. Wrought-iron lamp on scrolled feet on left pier. Included for group value.
