Public house, late C17 with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Whitened brickwork with stone slate and tile roof coverings. Built in three levels, one bay- two storey and attic, two bays- two storeys, with added single storey C20 addition (north). The higher single bay section has a five-course-deep first floor band and a blocked first floor window. Fully glazed door with glazing bars and wing lights fronted by single storey brick gabled porch with pair of boarded and studded doors with false strap hinges. Altered five-light flush casements, some with top hung vents. The two storey section has a saw-tooth eaves band and a gable-end stack, the higher section has a mid-ridge stack. The single storey wing north is of no special interest.
Interior: bevelled beams and exposed ceiling joist in the higher single bay section. Included for group value.
