Cottage probably of late C17 origin altered early C19. Hammer dressed stone, stone slate roof. Two storeys. Two cells. South front has two doorways with monolithic jambs, first floor has two four-light flat faced mullioned windows with projecting sills. Rear preserves two-light double chamfered mullioned window to first floor, and doorway with monolithic jambs. Stack at junction of attached farmhouse which is excluded from the item; attached to right hand return wall is barn (q.v.).
