6/20 Pigeon cote 40 metres north-
east of Pesspool Hall

Pigeon cote. Probably early Cl8. Random sandstone and limestone rubble with roughly
dressed quoins. Remnants of a later dentilled brick cornice. Roof missing. Brick-
lined interior with stone alighting ledges. Square plan. No architectural detail
to facades. Interior said to have contained 365 pigeon holes. This building in
derelict condition at time of survey.
