4/80 Vigo Farmhouse


GV II

House. C17 or earlier, altered late C17 and C20. Timber framed, clad
and rebuilt in red brick, in irregular bond, and rendered to ground
floor with weatherboarded right return. Plain tiled roof. Two
storeys on plinth with boxed eaves to hipped roof with stacks truncated
and projecting to left and to right. Four wooden casements on first
floor and 2 on ground floor. Half-glazed door to centre left with C19
flat door on pierced cast iron brackets and wooden piers (the hood
and brackets removed from South Hill House). C19 flint and red brick
outshot to rear and C20 extensions. C20 conservatory at end left.
Interior: frame survives in altered state.
