STRETTON UNDER FOSSE MAIN STREET

House. Early C17 with part possibly rebuilt. Timber-framed with plaster or brick
infill and rendered walls with sham framing. Old tile roof with brick stacks to
ridges and end. Main range with cross-wings. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Two C19
tour-panelled doors and C19 two and three-light casements to ground storey. C19
two-light casement to left, with one 3-light casement to central dormers. Plinth
and imitation timber-framing. C19 extension to right wing to rear. Interior:
some original chamfered beams to ground storey, with plain and broach stops.
Said to have original roof timbers.
