Later C18 but with Victorian/Edwardian decorative details superimposed.
2 storeys and attic purple grey headers, red brick dressings.
Mansard slate roof with 4 large dormers flat roofed with moulded wood
frames. High brick parapet rising at both ends. Red brick cornice with
dentil and egg and dart mouldings. 4 full length windows 1st floor,
recessed, sash, no glazing bars, flat rubbed brick arches with decorated
projecting red brick keystones added. Ground floor 2 late Victorian or
Edwardian shop fronts their entrances set well back in centre, plate
glass window, colonettes survive to side. 4 large stone Doric columns
support wide fascia board of glass painted black with fine gold
lettering, panel in centre. Large fluted brackets at both ends with
ball finials above. In the centre of the 1st floor brick frame and
pediment to Freemasons ceramic plaque.
