House which gives its name to the conservation area. C15 timber-framed house,
extended in the C17, then refaced and altered in the C18 and C19 additions to the
west. The timbering with red brick infilling is exposed in one small place at the
north east corner but otherwise the house has been refaced with coursed stone, set in
galletting, with red brick dressings and quoins. Hipped tiled roof. Casement win-
dows. Gabled rustic wooden porch on east front. One storey and attic. 3 windows.
3 gabled dormers. One gabled bay. C19 additions to west.
