The list description should be amended:

This range of houses is built on a series of high vaulted cellars partly above
ground which date from about 1300. The houses above appear C18, except No 10
which is timber framed refaced and Nos 1 and 2 which have older bricks at the back
and are probably timber-framed refronted in the C18. So the remaining houses may
be so also. 2 storeys, Nos 2 and 10 with an attic storey. 10 windows. Tile hung
on a red brick base. Tiled roofs. The 2 window bays at each end project slightly.
Casement windows. Doorways up to 5 steps. No 2 has 1 dormer window, No 8 a half-
hipped gable with an attic window in it. Nos 1 to 9 have front doors at rear and
No 10 has front door to south with flat wooden hood on brackets. Loft spaces
between Nos 3 and 8 are continuous.
