School. Inscribed and dated on chimney breast GMD (George Dixon) 1854 with
shield of arms on another chimney breast. Hammer-dressed red sandstone under
graduated slate roof with coped gables; candlestick chimney stacks. Single
storey, 3 bays. Gabled porch has original plank door with cast ornate brackets
and fitments. Central large gabled diamond-paned 4-light window under
quatrefoil and hoodmould. Similar 2-light window to left. Chimney breasts
flank central window. Open stone bellcote to right of roof. Further gabled
stone porch to left with rear doorway. C20 extension to left is not of
interest.
