3-storey, 2-window mid C19 building of stock brick with stuccoed dressings. Alternating
block quoins support entablature with modillion cornice and tall parapet inscribed
: CLARENCE TAVERN. Moulded architraves with scrolled feet to 2nd floor sash windows.
Panelled pilasters with console bracketed cornices and pediments to 1st floor sash
windows. Banded rusticated ground floor with mmoulded and modillioned fascia cornice.
Glazing altered, but stallrisers and top window grilles original. Rear extension
to Bouverie Road continues cornice. Ionic pilasters support entablature and frame
round arched windows with moulded architraves and vermiculate key blocks. Ionic
porch in angle has blocked door. Cast iron area railings.
