A mid C18 facade with added northern wing (with gable end to street) dated 1898.
2 storeys with plinth and basement. C18 part has a good example of moulded wooden
eaves cornice, wide and with heavily moulded modillions, 4 widely spaced windows,
sashes with glazing bars and 4 dormers with shallow segmental pediments. Slate
roof. Regency central door with 4 stone steps and side lights, all under wide blind
traceried fanlight. Carriageway arch now replaced by modern shop front. Modern
shop fronts now replace ground floor sashes. C19 northern section has 3 first floor
unbarred sashes (centre taller). Ground floor has modern glazing. Slate roof.
Nos 3 and 5 form a group with No 60 (No 60 is a building of local interest.)
