GLASTON SPRING LANE
Cartwash. Said to be c.1740, with later repairs. Rectangular pond with coped
walls of dressed stone around 3 sides. S side is an open slope. Used for
soaking cart wheels to prevent wood shrinking from metal rims, and also for
soaking horses' feet.
