A Cl6 timber-framed and plastered building with a cross wing at the east end.
Altered later and in the C18. A later gabled wing was added at the west end.
Renovated in the C20. 2 storeys. 4 window range, casement windows with glazing
bars to the 1st storey and double hung sashes with glazing bars to the ground
storey. The east wing has a small canted bay and a large bay projects on the
centre block. Roof tiled. The interior has good Cl6 ceiling beams and joists.

No 16 (Bear Inn) with No 1 and Nos 2 to 14 (even), Mill Road and The Cock Inn,
High Street form a group.
