A C18 timber-framed end plastered house with a red brick front with a parapet (rebuilt at
the top) and a moulded brick string course above the windows. 2 storeys and attics. 3
window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in plain reveals, with gauged brick flat
arches. A central 6-panel door with a semi-circular fanlight with ornamental glazing bars
has a good doorcase with fluted pilasters, panelled reveals and an open pediment with
ornamentation. Roof tiled, hipped, double pitched, with 2 segmental headed dormer windows
on the west and east sides. The front is protected by good early C19 wrought iron railings,
gate and gateposts.
All the listed buildings around The Green form a group. (Nos 8,10,38,52 and 25 are
buildings of local interest.)
