GV II*

House. C17, extended 1911. Red brick in English Bond with plain tiled roof.
E - plan. Two storeys and attic on plinth. Hipped roofs with stacks to
left and right and to end left and right, 2 hipped dormers and 1 hipped
dormer on each projecting wing, and wooden bell turret to centre.
Mullioned and transomed windows with labels of 5 bays altogether, with
2 windows on each floor of return face of projecting wings. Central 2
storey porch with four-centred arched doorway with label over, and plank
and stud door. The left hand wing is a C20 rebuild, a plaque on left
return records: This wing was erected on the original foundations by
Frederick Morrice, 1911. Rear elevation with regular fenestration of
mullion and transom windows with plain doorway with plank and stud door.
Interior: oak staircase and panelled walls of C17 pattern, but probably
C20 work.
