Circular on plan auditorium with balcony and boxes; stage and fly tower to south east and deep entrance foyers with manager's office and operator's room above. Rococo style. 2-storey 3-bay plastered front. Wide central bay with recessed entrance on ground floor with C20 fascia. Narrow flanking bays with curved open pediments and modillion cornices above, across first floor with wide recessed balcony above at centre with heavy balustrade and flanking rusticated bays with composite pilasters, festoons above round arch windows and entablatures with egg-and-dart mouldings to cornices. The central segmental pediment has been removed leaving only the tympanum decoration of an oval with plumes below and festoons and swags above, all in a high stepped parapet. At the rear there are small round windows in the auditorium and the fly tower. Interior: Richly decorated in Rococo style plasterwork including auditorium ceiling, and walls, balcony front and soffit, boxes and proscenium arch. Similar plasterwork in foyers; the stairs to balcony foyer rebuilt in 1935 has wrought iron balustrade. The seating in the auditorium has been removed.
