SU 74 SE FROYLE LOWER FROYLE

5/16 No.1 Holmwood Cottages.

GV II

Small house. C18, and early C19. Brick walls and tiled roof. Timber-framed
structure, refaced; front (south-west) of 2 storeys, 2 windows. Plain roof, with
catslide at rear, and lower roof to the northside outshot. Walls of Flemish
bond 1st floor band, plinth; the north gable and rear walls have exposed
bricknogged framing, the east gable is of chalkstone in the lower part, with an
altered opening. Casements. Plain doorway within a C20 open wood porch.
