Large house of circa 1600 but entirely altered on the east and north sides
in the C18 and C19 when the building was faced in brick and a third storey
was added, with tile hanging on the east and south. The north front is
of red brick and the lower storeys of the east front are of brick, colourwashed.
Three storeys. Three window range on the north front and on the upper storey
of the east front, the lower storeys have irregular fenestration. The windows
are mostly double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Roof slate. (RCHM 16).
