House of C16 origin but extensively altered and added to in the C19 and
later. The whole of the exterior is refaced in red brick. Two storeys,
attics and cellar. The west front has 2 window range, 2-light double-hung
sashes with glazing bars. There is a modern bay with matching sash windows
at the south end. A central doorway has a wood doorcase with panelled reveals,
pilasters and an open dentilled pediment. The south side has 2 window range
and a stepped wall which partly screens a lower wing at the rear extending
to the east. Roofs tiled, with 2 original chimney stacks with the bases
of 2 and 3 octagonal shafts. The interior incorporates a C16 timber-frame.
