Farmhouse, later C17, altered in C19, with cottage added at right end C18.
Coursed gritstone blocks (now ribbon pointed, left gable rendered) with
quoins, cottage of random rubble, stone slate roof with left gable chimney and
double chimney stack at junction, left gable coping with kneelers. Two bays
formerly with baffle entry at right end, single-bay cottage added at this end,
and very deep rear outshut to 1st bay. All 2 storeys; former chamfered
doorway at right hand end of original house altered as window with inserted
mullion; 2 double-chamfered stone mullion windows on each floor, 3 lights in
1st bay and 4 lights in 2nd bay, those at ground floor with hoodmoulds, and an
inserted door in the centre. Left return wall has door and 2 small windows at
ground floor, all insertions; rear has various small windows including a
mullioned 2-light fire-window. Interior: 2nd bay has large inglenook
bressummer beam with housing perhaps for heck post in soffit near front end,
and 2 chamfered beams resting on it.
