Aisled barn, C17, altered, with C18 stable range continued to north. Coursed
sandstone rubble with quoins, stone slate roof. Barn of 5 bays; east side (to
yard) has segmental-headed wagon doorway in centre, 2 square windows to the
right, a blocked chamfered doorway at the right hand end; (west side covered
by later addition). Stabling in 2 builds continued to right, 2 low storeys,
vertical joint with quoins in the centre, has segmental-headed wagon doors at
each end, a plain doorway each side of the junction in the centre, 3 windows
at ground floor and 3 round pitching holes above, Interior: aisles to 4th and
5th bays of barn with aisle posts of re-used timber on square stone
stylobates; collar truss roof with angle struts; 3 vertically aligned
lampholes in inner end of one cheek of porch on west side; harr-hung batten
wagon doors (relocated). Interior of stables has some original stalls.
