This incorporates a wing of the 'Bede House' a late C18 house of entertainment
for the visitors who flocked to see Lord Holland's follies. By 1809 this was known
as "The Noble Captain Digby" after Lord Holland's nephew and drinking companion
who commanded the HMS African at Trafalgar. Most of it fell into the sea during
an exceptionally strong gale but part of the old "Bede House" is incorporated
in the present structure which is now outwardly early C19. 2 storeys flint-faced.
Crenellated parapet. Stringcourse. 3 sashes with glazing bars intact, the centre
one projecting. Crenellated porch now made into a window. Modern extension to rear.
