Short terrace of 3 Victorian town houses of larger size. Red brick, palazzo
style, with stone dressings. Hipped slate roof with eaves on deep stone brackets,
rising as round arches over 4 half-dormers. 2 main storeys. Centre house is
larger and slightly projecting, with centre round-arched doorway in shallow porch,
and single round-arched sash window above; flanking double round-arched sashes
on each floor, and 2 half-dormers at eaves level. Nos 42 and 46 are symmetrically
placed at each side, with similar doorway and one double round- arched sash on
each floor, and one half-dormer. A rear wing at each end set back from front
facade. A dignified and unified composition, unaltered except for removal of
glazing bars.
