2/99 The Soho Inn

II

Inn, mid to later C18, painted brick with painted ashlar dressings
and rendered first floor. Stone slate roofs and end wall stacks.
Two storeys and attic. Flush quoins. Two dormers, 3-window
range, first floor centre window arched with Y-tracery, 3-light
flush cyma-moulded mullion window each side. Ground floor C19, 8-
16-8-pane-canted bays each side of C19 gabled porch with arched
opening. Orginal doorway is similarly arched with impost and key
blocks, traceried fanlight and 6-panel door. North-west rear wing
has 3-light unmoulded mullion window each floor and north end
stack. Marked as the Rose and Crown on 1763 map.
