Headstone. Dated 1782 in memory of Thomas Bayly. Upright sandstone slab
standing approx 1m high. The head is shaped and carved with a crown and a
frame flanking a central oval featuring a lamb in the clouds. The first line
of the inscription is Gothic lettering, the rest is Roman serif upper and
lower case lettering with italics. It records the deaths of Thomas Bayly in
1782, his wife Joan in 1776 and daughter Margaret in 1789.
