C17 origins, refronted in mid C19. Front of 2 storeys and attics in coursed
rubble with ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins. Pantile roof with coped
gable ends with kneelers. 5 windows, 3 are mullion and transoms of 4 lights
and 2 are 2-storey bays with mullion and transom lights, 1 bay rectangular, 1
canted. Ground floor has gabled wood porch with side lights. Left-hand section
has moulded string between storeys. Right-hand section has mullion and transom
window of 8 lights. Extension to right, former outbuilding, now garage, coursed
stone, pantile roof. Account of Cl7 rebuilding in Yorks, Archeological Journal.

The Vicarage forms a visual group with the listed buildings in Hall Garth and
with the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul.
