C17 house. 2 storeys in small coursed stone with pantile roof with coped gable
ends and 3 brick stacks. Heavy ivy cover. 3 windows, wood lintels, casements
with leaded lights. 3 windows and door to ground floor. To left, adjoining
outbuilding with 1 window and ventilation slit over carriage entry. 2 blocked
openings to ground floor with wood lintels. Lower extension with ventilation
openings. Windows to rear wing have wood lintels. Formerly - the home of the Piper
family, the owners of Captain Scoresby's whaling ship.

Farmhouse between Keld Head Farm and The Low House and its Farm buildings form
a group with The Low House and Keld Head Farmhouse (West).
