Cottages, fronting the remains of an older house. C16 to rear right, C18 to
front. Timber framed to rear with sandstone rubble and brick infilling, white-
washed brick front with plain tiled roof, hipped to right. Two storeys with
end stacks to right, front stack to right of centre and rear stack to left of
centre. Four casement windows on the first floor, two to each cottage, four
windows below, two to left under cambered head. Stable style door to left
under gabled hood. (Phlox Cottage). Further door to right hand return front
(Primrose cottage).
