of the Church of St Mary the
Virgin

Pair of adjacent headstones. Both are late C18 in memory of members of the
Friend family. Both are similar upright sandstone slabs standing approx 500mm
high. Their shaped heads are inscribed with crossed arrows above fielded
panels inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. The left
one records the death of Winifred Drury and the right one commemorates the
death of Martha Drury. In both cases the date of their death is buried.
