Cottage. C16 with C19 repairs to east wall. Built of brownsand with
renewed tiled roof and brick chimneystack to east end, east wall is of
brown brick in Sussex bond. 2 storeys: 3 windows. 1st floor has 2,3-light
C20 casements and 2 central 2-light C20 casement. Ground floor has
central c.1600 3-light ovolo moulded mullioned window with leaded
lights. Left side window is 3-light C20 casement in C18 surround and
right side window is 2-light C20 window in C18 surround. East side has
gabled weatherhood incorporating seat. Rear elevation has C20 mullions
and C20 canted bay to ground floor. Ground floor east room has
chamfered axial beam and exposed box framing and west room has exposed
beams. Winder staircase behind central window. Other rooms not seen.
