Farmhouse, dated 1627 on lintel, with later additions at each
end, altered, now 3 dwellings. Coursed sandstone blocks with some
quoins, roof of stone slates and some slates, with 3 chimneys on
the ridge. No. 3 in the centre is 2 bays, additions at each end both
one bay, and there is an extension to the rear with separately ridged
roof. All 2 storeys. The principal item of interest is No. 3, which
has walling of large blocks at ground floor, smaller blocks at 1st
floor, doorway at the right end with part chamfered surround and
cambered lintel lettered in relief 1627, to the left of this at the
TKIBM
level of the lintel a continuous dripstone (broken by a new window in
the 1st bay), and 2 windows on each floor: at ground floor both are
modern replacements, at 1st floor both are in C18 openings, and that
on the right has 2 flush mullions. No. 1 to the left is of watershot
masonry and has horizontal rectangular windows. The extension to the
rear of No. 3 has at ground floor a recessed mullioned window of 2
round-headed lights, and at 1st floor a 3-light window with chamfered
mullions. Interior: No. 3 has 2 beams with cyma-stopped chamfer, and
similar decoration to all floor joists.
