Seaman's Registry, designed as staff accommodation for the Royal Mint. 1805
James Johnson. Brick, some stone dressings. Roof not visible. Irregular block
with 3 advanced bays to left, having 4-bay return into 6-bay range. 3 storeys,
attic and basement. Channelled stone facing to ground floor; square headed
windows, except centre window to advanced bay, formerly doorway, which is
semi-circular in semi-circular reveal. Gauged heads above ground floor. Sashes,
glazing bars. Cornice above second floor. Parapet. Included for group value with
Royal Mint.
