Offerton Hall Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Said to be c.1700 but altered and added to in
early C19. English garden wall bond brick with graduated
stone slate roof. Irregular 2 storey plan. 5-bay front with
projecting brick plinth. Bay 5 projects, is of C19 date and
is gabled; bay 4 projects to a lesser extent. 3 and 4-light
mullion and transom casement windows on ground floor. 3 2-
light and 2 4-light similar to first floor all with cambered
brick arches and stone sills which date from C19 and C20.
All have leaded casements. Other window openings (some
blocked) are of the original form and have flat brick
arches. Later porch to bay 3. 4 large rebuilt chimney
stacks. Symmetrical 3-bay right elevation with advanced
gabled central bay with doorway, brick band and arched
recess within the gable.
