Barn. C17 with later alterations. Box framing with one wall
replaced in stone and one in brick. Stone plinth, brick
nogging and C20 asbestos roof. 3 bays with central threshing
floor and shippons to either side with haylofts above.
Central cart entry has timber lintel; 2 shippon doors (one
blocked) have stone lintels. The left and rear elevations
are framed in square panels and have diagonal braces and
honeycomb vents. The frame (on 2 sides only) is largely
intact but for a large C19 buttress and small lean-to
extension at the rear. A pegged king-post roof truss and a
crosswall support the original purlins and rafters.
