Terrace of 10 houses, now individually numbered maisonettes.
c1840. Stock brick over stuccoed ground floor with channelled
rustication, slate roofs hidden behind parapets. 2 bays wide
with door to right, Nos 20 and 21 Platt Street with doors on
return. 3 storeys and basements. All windows have 12-pane
sashes, those to upper floors under gauged brick heads and
those to ground floor under channelled voussoirs. Authentic
doors set within square pilaster doorcases and under dentilled
lintels and arched toplights. No.21 Platt Street with
projecting porch and blind windows on return. Wrought-iron
balconies to first floor. Nos 12 and 13 (one house) a
facsimile rebuild, and some rebuilding also to Nos 4 and 5
(one house), but this done with care.
INTERIORS not inspected but noted to retain staircases and
other original features.
