Cl7 timber frame wing encased in C18, red brick, with heightened tiled roof. Two storeys.
3 windows, two and three-light casements, central panelled and glazed door with C19
pilasters and entablature, and to left late C19 stone and brick splayed bay window.
Central chimney, timber-framing and roof trusses exposed internally. C19 brick, gabled
cross-wing on north.
On south end a large wing of circa 1850 by Whitfield Dawkes, in Tudor-gothic style, red
brick with ashlar dressings, tiled roof with moulded stone coping to gable ends, and an
enbattled parapet. Two storeys, five bays, centre projecting and gabled. Sash windows
without glazing bars in chamfered architraves with dripmoulds. Central projecting
entrance bay with diagonal corner buttresses on ground floor with large moulded four-
centre arch doorway with dripmould and quatrefoils in spandrels, panelled and glazed
double doors with gothic traceried lights. Gable over central bay contains arched
recessed panel with shield. All gables with stone finals Stone and brick chimney
stacks with diagonally set brick shafts with stone cornices. Moulded stone string course
and cornice.
To east, screen wall in front of stable yard, red brick, with battlements with moulded
stone coping, stepped over four-centre arch carriageway.
